Anyone had any problems with this set on chipped players?
I had problems with it blocking and freezing on my chipped Pioneer 717, thankfully I've also got an American Panasonic 310, so I can still watch it. Never had any problems with other discs on the Pioneer tho'.
The only possible reason I can think of is the effort it took to get the bloody disc out of the box, thought they'd glued it in. Then again if I'd damaged the disc it wouldn't work on my Panny. Strange.
Just curious is all.

Hi m8. Ive got a Pioneer 717 as well . Ive not had any problem with my LE of Men in Black. But i know that u mean when u say there super glued in the case
Lo Chief,
I think it's the type of multi-region MOD you're using, AFAIK DVDs use two systesm to check what region the player is - 1) Say "I'm Region 1 is that OK?"
2) Say "What Region are you?"
MIB uses the second, hence if your player is modded to the first type (likley if it is an older mod but also common on some newer ones).
I might be wrong but this is what happens with my Dxr3 region-cracked using Remote Selector - you cannot leave it set at R0.
You can check this if you've got the Fight Club R1 set (uses the same method) and possibly ID4 (but I'm not sure about that).
I think the only answer is to get it re-chipped sorry :(

I have the R2 version of MiB Limited Edition and the widescreen side of the disc doesnt work at all on my Philips 710.
Both the fullscreen side and the bonus disc work fine though. Wierd.

Thanks guys.
I have both Fight Club and ID4 Spiros and they both work fine, it's v strange.
I might try cleaning the lens and stuff, just never had these sort of probs on the Pioneer b4.
Ah well :)
