Right, here are the specs.

PIII500 Slot 1
Soyo board -
64meg PC100

Right, after a clean format, when typing "setup" scandisk crashes out, with the following message:

Run-time error M6111:MATH
floating point error: stack underflow

And that's on a completely bare system!!!!

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I remember a similar (or same, i cant remember) problem like that ages ago.

The way i fixed it was to do a Low Level Format on the hard drive (should be a utility to do it in the BIOS) or u can download utility from motherboard or hard drive manufactur

The other solution might be a wrong RAM setting in your BIOS. I dont know much about BIOS settings so i cant really help u there.

hope this helps
