GeForce 256 and ABit i815 mobo

A friend recently got the new Abit i815 mobo and so we decided to put my GeForce(ELSA SDR) in to see who good the pc was, but we couldnt get it to work(he has a G400 and this works perfectly) just wanted to know has anyone else had any problems like this as I was thinking about upgrading to this mobo in the future....(it was something about irq sharing but don't quote me on this, also we have tried it on another identical mobo and it didnt work under that one either)

The Geforce needs its own IRQ, it can be shared with nothing else(apart from IRQ holder for PCI steering.
