Sound card prob.

I've just bought a new mobo(Asus P3V4X), and it doesn't recognise my Sound Blaster live value. I've tried changing it to other PCI slots but still no joy.
Any suggestions plz.

Not 2 sure,

Have u changed the processor as well as the board if so make sure you have the latest drivers,PIII Coppermines had issues with Soundblaster Live but the latest drivers fixed it.

Other than that,you sure you havent damaged the card.

Yeah new CPU as well P3 600 Katmai. The sound cards ok cause I tried it in another PC and I've got all the latest drivers.
I'm at a total loss.
Is there any1 else using this mobo?

Unhelpful i know but, i just got an ASUS A7V motherboard, and it won't see the soundblaster at all, its as if its not plugged in.
i can see a really long night ahead.....

Got it sorted now. I took the screw out of the retaining plate wiggled it around and hey presto. :)
It'll only work in PCI slot 1 though and won't work if I put the screw back in. :(
At least I have sound. :) :)
