We have 12 lunar cyles per year and girls have 12 periods per year. This would surely mean that we, as life on this planet, are in harmony with our surroundings, including the gravitational pressure from the Moon.

If you take the Moon away, what effect would it have on the menstrual cycle?

Does it change for astronauts?

if you take the moon away you'll make the earth less stable on it's rotational axis, have randomly shifting tropical zones, decrease the magnitude of the tides, invite more space debris to impact on the planet, decrease the natural light levels at night, remove a major navigational beacon for nocturnal animal and ruin one hundred and one great songs and poems.


BUT...apparantly if you put several women in a house together, their cycles become synchronised....
clever stuff eh? therefore they're really emotionally...ummm....charged all at once....for a week-ish.
Get it all out of the way I guess and then have the rest of the month as normal :E

The reason why when a group of women live togther their menstrul cycles co incide dates back to caveperson times.

As with animals they can only mate when "in season" this is the same with humans, a womans menstrul cycle is their "season" so the reason why they all co incide when they live together (where as before you put them together thy could have been willy nilly) is so the male could impregnate all teh females in that pack. (as with animals)
