And it's very nice in most things i.e. Q3A and Soldier of Fortune, but Deus ex and UT no longer run, both these games will launch then the graphics are all buggered, I've tried using the safe menu thingy where you can get both these games to re-detect their graphics card and selected Direct 3d the game then tries to load and all the graphics are crap. I use to have a Voodoo2 and have recentlyupgraded to a Geforce 2 MX. Half Life works using Direct 3d? Any ideas?

cheers guys!

Hi ya

I have done the same as you.

Quake 3 is still WAY too dark :(
But Half Life is ace, so are the other games.

Can't get Diablo II to work with it tho - and I have tried LOADS of things.

BTW - HL works in OpenGL and Direct3D

All I can suggest is to get up-to-date graphic drivers and re-install the game. For GeForces try the Detenator3 drivers, and then reinstall DirectX7.0 and then the game.

It's worth a try. Saved games can be saved to another folder and then placed back in the directory after re-installation. This goes for those bonus maps and such for the shooters. Make sure the patches on your games are up-to-date.
