Eyestrain or what !
Just changed my Voodoo3 3000 for a Geforce256, i have the new detonator drivers and i'm well impressed (1024x768 Q3 demo1 94fps).
The only problem i seem to have is the monitor now looks blurred , especially text(games are ok). I had no problems with the old V3 , checked all the controls, cable and settings but to no avail. Anyone else had the same problems ?
It's a 17" panasonic monitor by the way tried all settings but prefer 800x600 85htz 32bit colour.
Cheers

I'd check out your refresh rate? I also have a Panasonic Monitor (21") the earlier drivers let me set refresh to anything, (5.13's are good), the latest drivers seem to screw up the refresh rate, fixing it at Ultra-Naff 60Hz.. I had to mess with the monitor plug & play bit turning it off and selecting a different option GTF for the timing detection.. then hack registry to force the refresh rate for every resolution :( only way I can make it work :(
I set desktop res to 1280x1024x16 refresh to 85Hz

I never have probs from 5.13 & earlier drivers???

strange stuff

I find that opengl is a lot crisper on text than D3D for HL:CS...however, openGL locks up on me sometimes..:(

I took delivery of a new PC yesterday :), and I'm getting a similar problem - the text is fuzzy on CS, and there is a patch about 20' (game feet) in front of my player model that looks sorta "misty"...only appears to be on the horizontal plane tho, all vertical planes are very crisp. I've switched up from playing on a laptop with software video mode, and I know nothing about graphics cards :(

The PC is a 1Ghz with 256Mb, and a GeForce2 DDR 64Mb, and I know bugger all about drivers, etc...can anyone help ?
