With me agreeing (for once) with Gary Neville about who should really only be eligable for playing in the champions league, it's good to see that Man Utd, Rangers and Arsenal all got off to good starts.
I can only feel sorry for Leeds, but even with a full strength side, I honestly didn't fancy their chances against Barcelona in the Nou Camp at all although maybe they were just lucky to get out of Spain with the score they did leave with.
Having watched the Rangers game on Tuesday, Ronald de Boer really is an outstanding player when he gets the ball and himself and Michael Mols really did make the Stum Gratz defenders work their butts off. I only pray and hope Rangers really show their true form again against Monaco next week. That game could really determine what Rangers could do in the league.
As for Georghie Hagi....... do the Romanians and Galatasaray rely on him too much? He got sent off in Holland, in the UEFA Cup final against Arsenal and again last night. The team just seemed to crumble without him.
Oh well, hopefully next weeks games are just as successful for all British Clubs involved.
