Lo Dudes....

I have just had CM Blueyonder installed (or not) on 12th Sep.

My problem is.....IT DOESNT WORK!!!!!!

When I first boot up it gets an IP and GAteway address which seem to be
correct...62.blah.blah

If I release and renew I just get a standard windows IP. Also my "lease
obtained" and "expired" is strange. If my Pc starts at 15.00 hrs for
example, my lease obtained time would be 15.00 the previous day and my
lease expired date would be 15.00 that day....... So already it has
expired.....??????

The guys at second line support have tried hard but to no
avail......They say that they will have to sent out a Tech but they cant
cause of the petrol shortage!!!!!!

I have tried 2 NIC's and 2 Cable modems....also several RJ45 cables...

Any Ideas???

Cheers

Firstly why are you using two cable modems??
Telewest provide one and you use it, also when it was installed the engineer would of permissioned the nic card's MAC address in the card at the time so swapping it for another will render the line useless again.

Plug the original cable modem and nic card back in and work from there... Did the engineer describe how to hard re-boot the cable modem?

Im not stupid enough (i think) to use 2 cable modems....

What I mean is Ive tried 2 (telewest) modems and none of them worked and yes b4 you ask I re registered their MAc addresses...:)

I now have my problem solved and both of the modems I have tried are working....

All I did was disable my NIC in system profiles, Re-boot, Re-enable and re-boot and low and behold it friggin works.:)

I cannot believe how good this stuff is.... It is lightning fast man, absolutely worth every penny...

Thanks for replying though dudes....

Ill let you you if it gets better or worse..:)
