From some of the response I have had this week from the forum and emails it looks like Saturday 16/09/00 at 14:00hrs will see some new pilots taking to the air with FS2K.

If you are interested in flying then please meet in Powerplay at around 14:00hrs with a planned take off at 14:15hrs. It is advised that you have the latest patch for FS2K and FS Navigator with FS2000 database loaded on your machine. The latter is only required if you want to now where you are going and where your position is.

It is preferred if you fly a 737 or similar as trying to keep up with a Cessna, for example, is impossible.

As Saturday will be a first for some people to fly in multiplay we shall have an easy flight, sorry to those who prefer a challenge but we all had to learn sometime. So I suggest that we take off from Cardiff airport – Runway 12 and fly to Heathrow – Runway 9L. This is an easy flight that takes about 30 minutes in a 737. If we still have some time then a quick hop to Gatwick – Runway 26L will require a bit more skill in landing the plane.

I hope all those that have showed an interest will be able to join us on Saturday.

See you at the ‘gate’ at 14:00hrs

Alan

I'll certainly be there, if you'll have me anyway!!!

One of the easiest flights at least from my perspective is Heathrow to Newcastle. This flight takes a little longer than the Cardiff-London flight but it is pretty simple.
Departing runway 9R/9L it's a simple 360 heading which takes you approximatley 10-15 miles parallel of the approach which is at a heading of 260.

Just a suggestion, and thanks alan for the help with FS Nav.
