We have the EXACT same problem with Rumble m8.
I've given the CC'ship to Rychan.

Our CL, Hog, has disapeared, he was last seen on the forums in Feb2k, won't answer email or anything. I suspect he's in the falklands as he goes there every 6 months or something.

Nice of him to let us know he left....

So I contacted Velvet, Rychan sent Velvet an email, I talked to Velvet in mIRC about it. It's been about 2-3 weeks. Nothings happened.

True, you shouldn't expect replys from Gsmeplay staff on the weekends and thats fair enough.

the fact is, I'd sent you email about it and so had Darkman, and asked you in IRC, and seeing as Mut even went through "every" forum on gameplay today sorting moderators out, it's completely typical action of you.

catching you in #gameplay about it, your response was "tomorrow"......how many times have i heard that from you? just put it on your stack of things to do, take out anything involving Asheron's Call and put them to the top, and move anything that u get bugged about down the pile, like usual.

you'll probably delete this, but right now i'm under enough stress that I'm giving my opinion pretty vocally for a reason. I'm gonna be away from a community i really care about (and the UT one) for a while, and whether it's days, weeks or months, I need to know that I have the support in place from Gameplay that I can leave it to function when I'm gone. call it an arrogant attitude, whatever, but if Gameplay ask me to do something, I do it as soon as possible anyhow, they don't need to justify it. It should work the other way round as well- at the end of the day people like Mut & yourself are paid to help us and to run the communities, and if you're gonna put people in charge of seperate bits of it then u have to let them have what they need to do their job.

I needed moderator status for Shadow Templar & BONG Reeves 29 ages ago, and now the need is urgent. I don't care whether u get it done now or tomorrow or the next day, seeing as I've had to give someone my password so he can do a job he should be able to do anyhow. Right now I just want to know that you'll deal with stuff more promptly in future - I'm sick having to spend this long dealing with stuff like this because 1 person can't be bothered to go to the admin panel and add 2 and moderators. It's not like this is an isolated incident either, it's jsut the first time i've been rude enough to drag it onto the boards for all of GP to see.

and yes, having this done "will make me a little less a®sey" to quote you in IRC earlier. "a lot less".

Mut spent today confirming exactly which mod changes need to be made and revising the moderator guidelines. He will spend tomorrow making moderator changes including those you have requested and contacting any new moderators.

I apologise that this hasn't been actioned since your initial request on 6th, however I have been largely overworked as I have explained to you at any opportunity. Please give Mut the chance to get things done in the time it takes. The reason its not been completed this far is because I'm not just doing one forum when they all need attention, and I haven't had the 2+ days to dedicate to that.

aq2 has been without a CC for over 4 months and the same for the m/b we have one mod wasa and he's busy with R/L stuff all the time and only pops on once in a while...
i have asked and asked mailed icq'ed irc'ed to **** loads of ppl trying to sort our community out !
i want our community to live not just die out as it is but whats the point in doing anything if you get no help whats so ever from where it counts !
the only person that has been any help is "cov"
