Lo chaps

The forums seem to go very slow every night at 6.00 (I guess due to BTI users) and go very slow until about 8.30-9.00 can this be sorted as it is sooo annoying :angry:

Or is it just me??

Yes it's just you!

GP is monitoring your connection 24 hours a day, when you try and gain access to these bords they tell Mut to peddle slower, thereby reducing the current to the servers which then grind to a crawl...


When you've gone, they get the whip out and give him some, which makes his short fat hairy legs go like the clappers.

So bugger off coz you're spoiling it for the rest of us!

Skunkie, they explained it in the other post[s] on this board. Basically the board wasnt designed to take the incrediable amount of user forum hits at one time that GP get, and certain parts of the forum processing choke cos of it. Till they finish off rewriting some of the code to be more efficient, I think we have to put up with it. Since they beefed the machines up to the max and done some other tweaks at least the forum is somewhat more usable in the evenings now than it was.

I'm only posting so that someone with "gameplay" under their title answers....but Foxy pretty much explained it.

We ain't giving up yet...we are still looking for better performance out of the system. Another upgrade happened today (did you notice....hope not). Newer software and more tweaks to improve data handling. Just need to see what happens tonight now...
