WP3 n cable modems

mm call me thick but ive dloaded the wp3 beta but aint got a clue how to get into the wp servers. Evry time I try it comes up with u r not connected to the internet, then it trys to dial WP direct an needless to say cant get through. Can u get on the wp servers with cable or am i wastin my time. Also ne1 out there no of any good sites fer tweakin me cable connection?

OK number one.. why are u using WP3 its in its beta and it suxs, to many probs, i use to bum wp u know spend 3 mins connecting then i would choose my arena OH YES!!! but now its just crap get Gamespy it faster u can add ne server u want and well its just better than dialing through wp

Most programs have a section for choosing the connection type ...usually the LAN option works fine if theres no cable/DSL option.
As for tweaks the best ive found yet is
