RE: Wpdml and prizes (yet again)

Hello,

I posted well over a week ago, regarding the wpdml player prizes and on the possibility that gameplay could give us a timescale/notification/word? on weather the prizes would be sent out to all of the winners of the wpdml.

I did get a sharp reply, and it stated that gameplay would contact the quake 2 commuity liason. The q2 cl also happens to be my clan leader. He has not had any contact from u.

The problem is that i and other winners are becoming inpatient. The actual league in which these prizes were won in, concluded some months ago.

This is despritly long period of time to wait for the dispatch of prizes.

Can someone plz explain what is going on and wot is the problem with sending out these prizes. It is pretty cool that gp sponsered the wpdml, but the actual fact that the prizes are taking a lifetime to appear is rather frustrating.

You in the same boat then m8 ours was promised to a charity quite a few months ago but they still cant confirm wether its been paid! By now the hospital has probably closed/ patients dead/ equipment broken down and it takes 2/3 days to check a cheque stub to see if or when its gonna be paid:-(

i only waited this long cause i didnt want to be a bitch about it. But it would be nice to hear a response, or something positive from gameplay, explaining wot the problem is. And i aint the only wpdml winner, there are some others as well, 11 i fink, who are all waiting for the dispatch of these prizes .

aye yeah, and i was waiting for a reply as to how i could arrange prize money for tournament matches on rumble in the void in gameplay vouchers btu i've just been passed on from one person to the next and then left with no reply...

My Clan won the WPCTF league last season.. no sign of dosh from that yet.. I emailed Velvet a few times now, with no reply. The Quake 3 forum seems to think I'm wasting my time :)

I mean how hard can it be to post out some vouchers? I hope Gameplay are aware of these problems...

Why do they bother sponsoring anything, when they dont intend to follow threw and deliver the actual prizes.

it is getting annoying. Told this and that, yet nothing appears. Why do gameplay bother sponsoring any competetions when they only intend to give us bull****.

It would be nice to receive a straight answer. Either we are or arent receiving prizes. Cause hanging on like this waiting for some sorta info, really sucks.

Agreed. The TFC 4SUM winners have not had theirs either.

If Gameplay can't come up with the goods then what's the point in offering them?

Either put up or shut up Gameplay cos people are tired with being fed bullsh*t. Come to think of it though... we've come to expect it from them.
