Ahhh... thats better. All nice and clean. Although my neck still hurts. Anyone got a cure for whiplash? I had a bit of a fall of my motorbike last night because of the rain (and my tires might need pumping up...), and my neck is killing me.

Anyway.

My thinking behind the site (which as I've siad before, was Gwil's suggestion, although I did have a similar idea but didn't have a phone line to suggest it :) ) is this.

While all that we (and this is *our* site, even if I'm the one working on it at the mo) need at a basic level is just a simple list of all our sites, I thought that, well, we could do better than that.

People spend a lot of time on this forum looking at a giving critique for other people's sites, so I thought why not make it a little more interesting, stick a little review in there, some suggestions and information about the site/maker etc.

So that's the direction I'm currently going. For those of you who're afraid my strong feelings about Flash will bias me towards flash-free sites, don't worry, I can be objective :) In any case, I encourage you to contribute. This is your/our site!

Basically, I'm looking for Sites to put on the list, reviews of sites to post (by other people, not the creator, obviously!), quick 'soundbites' about sites and I'd also like feedback from the site creators about reviews and comments. Also, I'd like to stick some 'features' on the site - columns basically. Expect to see a rant from me about flash shortly :)

I'll be looking for a couple of regular reviewers - there's quite a few of you with sites out there, and frankly I'd go loopy trying to politely tell you they're all pants. :P

So, the balls in your court. More stuff will appear on the site soon. I'll be contacting authors to get some more details or ask for a response as necessary.

I should be adding a couple more sites a day, although I'll only change the new/top site bits every now and again, so that it doesn't change every day :)

heres my views anyway (thanks again for the review)
the navigation bar was used to make the site look clean, fresh and uncluttered at a lower res.

If it was always there ... well it would look more like a mess..

not many graphics....mm... they wouldn't go really.. i take your point

2 1/2 mins to load! wow was my server having a bad day..
its only got about 50-60kb of graphics, so thats surprising
i think the server must have been real slow, take about 15seconds at most here..

Sorry. To keep the format fixed, I've used pixel-sized table cells. Hence it screws up on anything less than 1024*768. There's another thread in this forum about screen resolutions - if I think there's enough demand, I'll see about doing a lower res version - but at the moment I don't have the time.
