Simple Flash 4 / 5 help

I have been following a tutorial on FlashAddict.com, trying to make buttons that fade in and out as you move the mouse over and out of them (its in the Tutorials--->Intermediate section).

But the prob is that when I want to select the on mouse event action for the keyframe, i cant - its either greyed out, or I cant select it :confused:

Plz help me :)

Have you umade sure that your symbol is a button and not a graphic?

The way I would do it is in the button have the first field as a static image and the second frame as a movie which fades in and out.

I hope this makes some sense to you.

I get what u mean, and i tried that, but whats really bugging me is that i cant figure out why sometimes (or most of the time), the action for onMouseEvent is greyed out or unselectable :furious:
