Just thought I'd say i can't be assed to wait how many months bt will take to install the exchange and then the modem itself,so i ordered ISDN

Anyway there have been reports from north england of pings of 80 which is pretty ISDNish to me...

Anyway for the first year its out itll be sooooo unstable no matter what you all say, itll be crashing, being tweaked etc,so ill wait for my year isdn contract to cut then ill upgrade

Wow, him8, i have had the same train of thought as you have, although ive yet to receive an install date, for the next year or so cost aside isdn is still the best option for consistency i feel. As to the asus card, i gotta get myself one too but unfortunately i dont know the answer to that one but i guess you would get then one with pots, but that is a guess. lastly a question for someone. How long after you receive your homehighway info pack do they call you? i been fobbed off with the 'fuel crisis has affected our engineer install schedule' so how long was it for u?
Lastly, an amendment to my quote that madasafish 24/7 supports dual isdn, IT DOESNT! Im gutted and now am on the search for a dual isdn 24/7 isp. Any answers to the above question would be grateful, cheerz kalimera.....

POTS stands for Plain Old Telephone System...

No really it does....so if you are going to ISDN i would assume you want one that isn't enabled...but i don't
eally know.

Don't rely on me! But it does really stand for that...

Lo m8 - you do not need POTS on your ASUS card - the HH kit comes with 2 telephone ports and 2 ISDN ports. So you will in effect have 3 numbers from the original 1. The POTS port on the Asus card will allow you to dial up as an ordinary modem, but why would you want that now?
Also IMHO, dialling in at 128k (using both ISDN lines) slows down ping and general gameplay.
I get pings of around 60-80 almost always, and VERY stable.
