You need to leanr C, before C++.
Get the "C For Dummies" book at http://www.amazon.co.uk
I use this and its very helpful, and easy to understand. I also bought C++ for dummies and windows game programming for dummies. This will help me get off on the right foot.

And another good book for the C person, learning or professional (it saved me many a time) is the

C - The Complete Reference bt Herbert Schildt

Probably in its 4th edition by now :)

i was wondering the same thing .....but dont wanna part wit cash =p
