For 6 weeks when i have tried too use BT3 i have got this erorr

The computer you're dialing in to cannot establish a Dial-Up Networking connection.
Check your password, and then try again.

the pass/username is fine and the account is active/paid

so instead i used my 24-7 freecall account but this morning it gave me that erorr again ffs

Call their technical support. This kind of error can be caused by an deactive account (and before you say its not deactive, have u asked them? Mistakes do happen), you may need some kind of prefix to your username password, (the main cause of this error at Pipex was that people had a username 'xhx24' and typed this in the username box, they needed to have 'UK/solxhx24' in the username box).

Have you tried making a new Dial-up connection?

You could try reinstalling Dial-Up networking 'add/remove programs' --> windows setup

Hells - try dialing into BTI Internet on their 0845 no. If u can get in then it isnt your set up but the free side of your bt account. This is what BT support will tell u do neway.

Do the same for freecall if they have a 0845 no.

Hazlo thought it was my comp but we tried to connect to another free ISP and it works fine so it must be server side for BOTH ISP's

ffs
