I use Adobe Photoshop - but mainly because of the Image Ready app, for optimising graphics.
Apparently Macromedia Fireworks is better/the best, as you can do whole page layouts basically, and it'll put the code for the tables together for you.
Adobe Photoshop. say no more ;)

For optimized web graphics, it is Fireworks all the way!
Fireworks is missing a lot that Photoshop offers, but for simple web page graphics and optimization, it is the best.
Your really need Fireworks. Photoshop esp 5.5 is good but only use it for very fancy stuff.

Well, it all depends on how much money you've got really, as all the proggies mentioned are all good :)
PSP6 - £90
Fireworks 3 - £150 ish (Is that right???)
Photoshop 5.5/whatever - £400
Slight difference in price.... 8)

i think ill stick with photoshop
yeah mate Photoshops image ready is all ya need.
Fireworks is ok and ppl say u can do code innit ect. Whats the point ? might as well do it in Dreamweaver ect.
Photoshop is by far the best image editing program on the market imo.
