soz folks..gotta say my bit, at the risk of being shouted at. Just had an afternoon in FFA, and just about every violation of the COC possible was happening. Abusive tags, people PROUDLY having tags that indictate they are there to runway ram, and doing it..all the time. people escaping top avoid being shot, abuse towards the pilot that has killed them..etc etc...everything. Now im a fairly easy going chap most of the time, but if the COC isnt enforced, whats the point?, I dont think many newbies read it anyway, cos it not exactly in a prominant place, maybe put it in the game intro itself?. This afternoon was ruined by those pilots, and nothing at all seemed to get done about it. in fact..some high ranks were saying things like 'who gives a f*** shut up', when people complained about what was going on. if thats the way AA is going then stick it folks..ive played for over 2 years now and have never seen FFA as bad as it is these days.

I think we should be more concerned that someone has the cheek to post using Happy's ID and Password and then has the nerve to goad the Moderators by telling us that he is not actually Happy at the end of it...bloody nerve of the guy!
This is getting stupid and I demand better security from Wireplay on these forums.

I know the analergy is a tad OTT but in our little world where the CoC are THE rules whenever someone breaks them the appropriate action should be taken, not ignored.

Yeah arguements happen sometimes in FFA :E but why bring it on here? if the problem is that bad you need an admin.

im sorry but im with happy.... i sat on runway to chat to this girl ;) and i got runwayed 5 tiems but without dying then got rammed by ACo ironeagle , he then laughed..
i tryed to land again and got rammeed again by a dif guy who was a POF which i wasnt to obothered about
then i tryed to land again just out of curtacy after saying pelase dont shoot i need to land etc i got shot down twice in a row

I wasn't there today, so can't comment on what happened, but I do understand and empathise with Happy when a scenario he describes happens. I'm not sure whether things are any worse than at any other times in the past (other than those glorious "early pay-to-play days"), but it does nark me off bigtime when I hear of the idiots ruining the enjoyment of the game for others.
The CoC is there as a guideline set of rules for conduct and is only enforcable as an after event, ie someone breaches it and they have action taken against them. Of course, this is dependent on an admin being present or available and this isn't always the case, unfortunately.
Add to this that we are imminently moving across to WP3 and this in itself will bring a new framework for idiots and suchlike to be removed from the game for extended periods of time, even permanently.
I'm sorry you had a crap afternoon, but I am optimistic these kind of events will be less frequent in the near future.
Don't get too disheartened, the good guys still outnumber the badguys by some considerable margin and the future holds many improvements for the policing of the servers.

I have noticed a lot more crap going on recently and as Happy said it's making the game "crap"

but that is in ffa generally there is a different 'breed' of pilots in teams...so i just play in there :)

I used to spend all my time in FFA too, hardly ever went in Teams, quite the opposite now.

Perhaps with the large influx of Freeserve and other users, and the fact that at last you'll be able to see how many people are in each arena, WP3 would be a good time to start pushing the club arenas again? WP3 has built in admin tools for booting players, so it'll be a lot easier to tackle the divvies.

This forum is a way for us to express our disatisfaction with certain things about AA. I dont appriciate being flamed for it. I dont make complaints like that based on one 'bad day'. I actually had a good day as far as ratios are concerned, (2-1 ratio), but the pleasure of that was ruined by the events I described, and it was the final straw, when I was on the runway, with a star and a pilot called 'Runway predator' delibratly rammed me.

Well this story takes me back to when CB Radio was made legal by the COVERMENT in this country.
When I first went on CB many years before Legal channels here it was great, we had rallys and all, yes and before you go down the road of so what, let me say we also saved Two childrens lives because of it, thats another story, well then you had people ADULTS mainly as the RIGS were out of the price range of CHILDREN, then came LEGAL CHANNELS and the PRICE of CB RADIOS came down, then came the CHILDREN and then it was just the same as Air Attack today.
Yes we had all the FOUL MOUTHED children comeing on the RADIO and shouting abuse at the other users, in the end most of the OLDER and may I say Myself included, gave it up as a bad joke, those days were GOOD and the people on the RADIO were FRIENDS and we had a comunity, a bit like it was when I first came on here, BUT NOW ITS FREE to all, well we have to take the ABUSE or leave, many have left im SAD to say some good PLAYERS TOO.
Its all a bit of a shame as no matter what you say there will always be those people that are DOG MINDED enough to SPOIL your fun and the game.
Im sorry if I went on a bit, I very seldom speak in FFA any more as you only get slaged off anyway, I also try late in the eveing when I hope you will find the more MATURE player, with that I am not talking AGE, before you all get on the badwagon and SLAG me OFF, you know what I am saying, this way hopefully you get a better game and enjoyment from it.
Well I have said my bit, no dought someone will SLAG me off for it but what the HELL, thats what these pages are for.

Exactly what I ment, it`s no big deal it happens all the time. Sure we all get annoyed about it but we don`t all bring it on here, which normally makes it worse although doesn`t seem to have done in this case, perhaps because the the guy who did it was under alias and doesn`t feel the need to 'defend' his actions.

Although it's a shame that some people enjoy acting like twats in FFA, I don't think there's much point comparing FFA to Teams, because they are now so vastly different.
If I go into FFA, it's to notch up some kills and have a fly-about without all the 'tactical hassles' of Teams. I generally ignore the comms, and only land on rare occasions, so ramming isn't a problem for me.
And with all due respect, sitting on the runway having a chat, and then complaining about getting rammed, is a bit daft. Get into ICQ instead - that's what it's for!
I think WP3 may help the situation, but of course we will have to be careful that things don't go too far and half the AA players are banned before we know it!!
Dave m8. I never bring a complaint here if its just a one off. My eg of being rammed with a star was the final annoyance of an afternoon of 'stuff'. And similar observations in the last few weeks. I just posted what had happened that day.
. I really dont see whats the harm in discussing issues like this here, rather than bottling everything up and feeling frustrated..(oh err missus)...I find that expressing yourself here DOES have positive results, and the people that run the game do listen, and do try thier best to ensure that peoples enjoyment of the game is'nt ruined. (ok Rocky,Mac WPS etc..I'll have that tenner now ;-)

Pilot A = name changed to protect the innocent
Pilot A: "you wanna watch shooting the AA gibson"
(Pilot A saw Gibson shoot the AA to avoid getting killed by me - I hadn't said a thing, and I wasn't going to until this....)

I take no prisoners, and i don't like BS, some newer people on AA seem to think because im a squadron leader, and that im well known, i'm a viable target to be picked on at will, well that just goes to show how immature the newest members of this community can really be.
At least if someone hacks me off, i have the balls to tell them so to their face, not post things about them on the NB behind their back, if i had any problem with any member of this community i will tell them immediately make no mistake.
And if certain people think they can intimidate me or get the better of me by any means then they are sadly mistaken. I have been here for 2 years, through the good times and through the bad times, and if i have a bad attitude now, it is a direct result of the number of kills i have had poached, been rammed on the tarmac, had people victimise me and all sorts of other crap i wont go into.
however Mr. PAZZi, like i said above, if you had any sort of decency, you wouldn't of targetted me in the first place, like your comrade PILOT A who also did similar, and you certainly wouldn't have come on this board to start **** stirring like you have done now.

GibsonXXI is my C/O, and he taught me lots when I started, I have always found him fair, and straight.
He does speak his mind however, which may not be to everyones liking.
What I am trying to say chaps... you are both good pilots, I like you both, but you were playing a game. Lets not get too emotional please.
Tommorrow is another day... and an opportunity to relish this wonderful game once again.

I have seen you many times before getting into a strop, over "targeting" "spawning"...
It's FFA (Free For All). People target other people, for example the last person who killed them. It sounds as though you can't take being beaten.

What I've said has been fairly stated - that was the way it was, but I guess I'm sorry for lowering the tone of the NB.
How I see it:
Both pilots have good reputations as honest and sportsmanlike people.
Both pilots are known for being generally forthright in their views.
Both people are generally well liked individuals.
It's one word against another.
Its very sad to see two well-liked people suddenly squaring up, regardless of what did or didn't happen.
Whatever happened, for the sake of harmony, just agree to disagree and simmer down. If you look at it from above, it really isn't worth it in the big scheme of things, surely?

Not taking sides or 'flaming' anyone just wanted to add my veiws on targetting.
Quite often when im in ffa and i dive into the melee i find myself on the 6 of the same person time and time again to the point where i feel im targetting them, in fact sometimes it has happened so frequently that i have disengaged and gone to find a different target instead im sure im not the only person this has happened to ?? :)

Gibson - yes I can't PROVE it about that one swear word - but either way that point is immaterial.
And yes - I spend most of my time in a Yak these days - and Gibson is not the only person to get upset when he loses out!
I will post a little "notice board surgery" detailing how I fly the Yak 3 in FFA, maybe that will help (btw, I don't pretend to know the first thing about flying Yaks, all I know is I get a lot of flak for slotting peeps from one). I'll post it later today and you will then know all my dirty tricks.

And as for being anti-yaks in ffa ??? WTF ???? No one would get in a 190 in FFA and complain that everyones shooting him in those cheaty nasty spits, yaks, LA7s, P51s, hurricanes, etc. etc. and it's just not fair....
If someone beats you in a yak and you think thats the only reason - go get in a yak ..... or just accept it.

FWIW PAZZI, i was more annoyed by the fact you went behind my back and slagged me off on this board than the actual act itself.
As far as im concerned it's over with, i don't like atmospheres, and apologise for going somewhat over the top (As per usual) but from my perspective it simply looked like victimisation pure and simple.
And yes, it was a bit bad for diving, not the first time ive got that angry to dive in AA.
FWIW i don't know much about you and haven't played much AA since your arrival for reasons of my own, we have got off on the wrong foot, and both erm over-reacted, one kill tends to blend into another when your dishing out the punishment but not so when you're on the recieving end.
I never runway people unless i see them runway someone else, and i never automatically spawn on people as soon as they appear, although i do go for the kill if they attack.
Temperatures are generally high at the moment, because of many people greivances, but thrashing out as we did, and doing so on the NB is certainly not the right place for it.
I would hope that if anyone who reads this has a problem with my uncompromising stance while in an arena they just ignore me, i generally calm down as quickly as i get wound up, and as i said, the atmosphere is simply not worth it.

so heres my view on the whole situation... but not taking sides..
targetting ..... some people do it by mistake i know ive targetted people in the past and i feel so sorry for them after like the 10th straight kill in a row i wont engage them but just fly the oposite direction....
also targetting could go on forever if u think about it... like i down a guy/gal...then that person gets some revenge and comes back at u... then u do the same and this goes on for ever :) i know it does with me and pammy hehehe
we do it all the time we see each other in FFA i kill her then shell come straight for me so ill go straight for her again... targettng can be fun in some casses....
but i see what u mean if its the same person again and again and they dont say anythink or do anythink to prevent it from happeneing..... maybe pazzi didnt realize he was targetting u or that A pilot :)
anyway..... at the end of the day its a game and were not suppose to get wound up ( although we do :) )
from now on i thik im going to take the game as it comes and try not to maon about things... i maon alot in team matches as some people may know....
anyway hope that sheds some light on the whole targetting thing for me :)
btw.... i get annoyed when people start slagging me down for spawn killing its the only thing i hate in AA.... if theres a pane infront of u shoot it.... thats the only way i look at it.. and if it happens to me i dont care.. becuase i like the challenge of trying to evade the person.. if u have time that is... and if u do u get that nice feeling of kicking the guys ass :E

my overall temperament hasn't been helped by losing my 5th data.all with 4 AMa's 2 ACo's and a couple of GCp's in either.
