Restricted access?

I am making a website, and would like to make a page with restricted access. But I am not sure how to? I have tried to research how to do it, and I think i need to make a .pl page?

Any ideas?

You need to make 2 files

.htaccess
.htpword (?)

In the .htaccess you put something that tells it that you want the page restricted, and their are usernames in passwords in the .htpword file.

So then you put your list of uns and passwords in there.

But I can't remember how to do it. Some1 else will probably know.
