I wondered if anyone knew of any publishers or places where I could get hold of these titles.
BTW is Ninja Scroll2 the proper name for the sequel?

Totoro? Wasn't that the cutsey one with the really big fluffy cat-thing, I think I saw a bit of that once on satelite.
...Anyway...
The main reason I asked about Laputa was that I saw it on TV years and years ago(on daytime ITV if u can believe it). Yeah it was the first real anime I had ever seen ('bowser' and 'inspector gadget' don't really count), and I loved it!

I mean I can still remember the scene where the boy is crasping on for dear life at the bottom of the floating island whilst the brick work falls off at his feet.

So did it ever get released properly over here? Or was it just not put out in the mainstream stores (HMV, Virgin etc.).

If anyone had any sort info on it, it'd b gr8ly appreciated. Infact if no info, if anyone remembered any part of the film I wouldn't mind a bit of a nostalgia trip.

Thanks again

Saw Totoro on Sky ages ago, they went through a anime period at 1 point, also had 1 about a flying pig, can't remember the name but it was actually quite good :)

BTW was the bloke who did Totoro the same bloke who did Warriors of the wind, because that was an absolute classic, shame u can't buy it anywhere though ;(

Not true.

When Sky went through their anime phase, the films they showed was totoro and Porco Rosso (both my Hiyazo Miyaki (sp?)).

Not heard of the crimson pig before though.

As for others....well, do you mean films made my Hiyao Myazaki? If so, The Princess Mononoke was made by him.

i watched it on video and the start up it said Crimson Pig, and they all called him that.

And also, Porco Rosso sounds like it could be red pig (the crimson pig) in some other language to me. :)

BTW guys, seeing as though this thread was about Laputa and Ninja Scroll2, just thought I'd point something out...

Ninja Resurrection IS NOT Ninja Scroll2!!!!!

After much anticipation of it's arrival by post, my enthusiasm turned 2 shock horror watching it. The 1st thing 2 mention is the Jubei of the title is not the Jubei from Ninja Scroll.
Yes he looks the same(apart from the eye-patch). He also has the same first name(though this guys surname is Yugyu), but u can just tell this guy is not the real Jubei.

Realising this I suddenly felt very conned, first by the company who made the episodes(yes episodes not a film), then by the marketing ppl who saw fit 2 include the words 'resurrection' and 'revenge' (Yugyu has never 'been',let alone die and take revenge/b resurrected).

I mean these guys knew what they were doing with this 'omen'-esque tosh, and I got suckered. It wouldn't have been so bad, but the lower-production standards(esp. 4 when it was made) were in constant shame from my comparisons with 'Scroll.

So for all u Ninja Scroll fans, DO NOT BOTHER with Ninja Resurrection, it is insulting to 'Scroll that they even share the 1st word of their titles!!!

So is there a REAL Ninja Scroll2???

(I guess probably not :( )

I brought Ninja Resurrection under the same impression as you m8. Talk about a ****ing weak cash-in on the name. Well they've managed to con two people with this anyway.
