This one is quite confusing cos the first two videos (Overfiend and Demon Womb) were released by Manga Entertainment. With the first three episodes edited to make the first video and episodes 4 and 5 edited to make the second. Then Kiseki released em. Although whether they were exactly the same or not I don't know.
There was going to be an Urotsukidoji: Infernal Road (I think thats its name) a while back but I can't remember if it made it through the BBFC :)
Might be worth checking some old issues of Manga Mania. I'll have a look for ya through me old issues for ya.

Is Manga Mania still going???
Thanks M8. :) You is a gent!!
Manga mania got bought by Titan the peple that make the really thin glossy mags for star wars and star trek. Well this is what they did to it took out all the comics took out all the intresting bits made it glossy got people who dont know what there doing to make and it and do some of the reviews and then put it on the shelves and try to sell it :( i other words its crap now :(

Sounds about right!!
I have not kept up with the Manga scene so much in thelast few years due to the lack of products that were being released in English. I truly wish that I could read Japanese and get a collection going but being realistic :E
Thansk again for the info guys.

Right, the last bit of info on Urotsukidoji that I can find is in Manga Mania March 1996 issue (yes, I own them that far back!). It states Urotsukidoji VI: Infernal Road was scheduled for release in 1996 by Kiseki films. Whether it was actually released or not is another matter :) and I don't know how it ties in with the rest. But without scouring ever sentence thats all there is.

Charizard,
Believe me when I tell you ya DONT want to know
Although I must say somebody was right in saying overfiend was ace.
Hey Riskbraker, its you again.
I should've known you'd have info on Overfiend, being the WRISTbraker (ie: masturbator) that you are
Sorry m8, flame me if ya want
I just didnt seem to folow the story just seemed to be a ploy to throw in sex at every opertunity BUT if you watched that channle 4 documentry then it would have helped exsplain it more.
Plot?!
Who gives a damn, it's full of demon sex :naughty:
All i'm interested in ;)
Lol Del.....
I did often wonder why Razz took more of a liking to Anime than TFC? Well it's obvious innit :E.
As someone would say:
Bwarf :E

Psycho are you following me around the forums just to flame me :D Can you spell 'break'? Its 'break' as in bones not 'brake' as in to slow your car down.
I bought Urotsukidoji about two years ago and I've both tapes once. They're that good ;) What I hated is that the story seems to go back on its self in the second video. As if the editors didn't quite know what they were doing or the scripters had lost the plot. Not that it matters, as has been said already the videos aren't there for anyone to pay attention to the plot. I think theres about 10 to 15 mins of cuts accross both tapes so its no surprise that Infernal Road may not of made it past the BBFC. At the end of the day I'd rather watch GITS, Perfect Blue or Patlabor.
If you really like the Urotsukidoji stuff you could probably download La Blue Girl off of some anime sites or theres Rei Rei.
Did anyone watch channel 4's animation week? What a crock of ****!
Bloody typical Razz :naughty:
I didn't see that, what was it.
Typical, a chance to see more Anime beyond Dragonball Z and I bloody well missed it.
Bugger.

True about it not having much story, like most 18+ animes it just seemed like a shameless way to throw sex at middle aged jap men.
Oh Japan Race, I think that C4's doc may have stretched (did I spell that right Riskbreaker?) it a little, it's like when people analyse books and say how the author was skilled in making so and so character do so and so things. In the end everyone finds out that the author never intended the book to be so damn deep in the first place.
These critics really have nothing else to do with their lives do they?
RiskbrEaker-
Ah you mong! :P
You got me good man, I respect you for that. Seems my B in english didn't prove sh*t
Yea m8, Im gonna hunt you down and flame yo ass till yer a Roast Ashley or summin'.

I truly enjoyed the Overfiend series for more than the sex scenes. Believe it or not I saw them before any other Manga bar Akira and thats what got me into the medium.
Saw Streetfighter last night and have to say I was surprised out how good it was. Thought it would have been more kid based but gave it a chance and there I was sitting with my beers having some good TV to watch. :E
I have never seen Perfect Blue but will have to get hold of it. Is it available on DVD???
:monkee:

Yes Monkz, Perfect B is out for DVD, I know some ppl who have it.
Was Street Fighter subtitled? And was it the movie? If it is the movie I already bought it on tape :P
Too bad I aint got Sci Fi, did u see Genocyber and did they show all three parts?

Streetfighter was the dubbed version and I am a firm believer of leaving things as they are I.E. put susbtitles on it. BUT I was surprised how the Streetfighter movie worked. Or was I just desperate for some Japanimation??? :E
Went to the local Borders Book shop yesterday and picked up Overfriend video 3 and Perfect Blue. Nearly got banned for screaming in delight and scaring the 'Old Dears'. Have to make time to watch em now :E :E
Never seen Genocyber but heard good things about it. I did not realise Anime was back on again until this week. Arse.

The main problem with Overfiend was it was cut too much, the first episode had about 20 mins cut from it. I can only think that Demon Womb was set in the middle of the first overfiend. Maybe it was all the bits cut out :E The third was just pants.
BK
I have the uncut version on DVD from the US of States.
Trust me when I say that its not surprising that its cut to ribbons!
Oh and Inferno Road never made it past the bbfc. You can check for any film using http://www.bbfc.co.uk to see how much the swines have chopped out of a film.
The Matrix has 15 seconds missing - I'm curious as to what I missed.

Headbutts, you missed headbutts m8. Check closely the scene at the underground train station with the fight between Neo and the agent and you'll see some very dodgy cutting :) I think theres a cut at the fight near where Morpheus dives through the wall as well.
