View Full Version : 3 click study
Somewhere this is some information about a 3 click study where it proves that 3 is the ideal number of links for a medium size website to use, the idea being that the user can visit any page on the site within 3 clicks of the mouse button. I am using this information for an A level project but I need to find this study to prove my point, does anybody have any idea as to where I can find this?
I have no idea but it sounds like a good method to use when designing interfaces, ta m8y! :smokin:
I know which study you mean, but I wouldn't know where to find it. It's certainly been mentioned in Jackob Neilson's Altertbox columns (http://www.useit.com/alertbox/) a few times, so if you had a look around that site you might find a link.

I've just spent half an hour looking - I know what you mean, I've read about it too, but can't remember where. I've tried Nielson's site, but with no joy. I'll check some of my magazines later.
