Win98se shutdown

i the last few days when i shut down just as the computer is about to turn itself off i get an error "can't find SBECFG.EXE press a key to continue" i press a key and it terns itself off. does anyone know what that file is to do with? (It may be SB live 1024 prob i don't know) i how do i fix it eg reinstall something (which i don't really want to do, but will if i have to)

Hey mate,

Yeah I think that your assumption that the file is to do with the soundblaster live would be correct, try installing the drivers and software again for the card. If you need any more help email me.

I now think this is a win98 prob. I say that because when trying wp3 last night it wanted to download somthing for win and install it, but win98 wern't having none of it errrored as before, so i'll have to reinstall win again :bigcry:

I've renstalled win and its alright now but the file is in the sb directery so i don't have a clue what is going on
