im having probs with IE and Outlook Express, please help!

the main problem is with Outlook Express, whenever i click to run it i get a fault window pop up saying:
"outlook express could not be started. the application was unable to create the internet account manager. your computer may be out of memory or your disk is full."

then when i click 'ok' another comes up saying:
"outlook express could not be started because MSOE.dll could not be initialized. outlook express may not be installed correctly"

the problem with IE is when i start my pc a window comes up saying something like "explorer ahs performed an illegal operation" or summat and if i click the IE shortcut nothing happens.

so can anyone tell me how i could solve the OE prob, i thought of reinstalling but how can i uninstall it?
should i just use Norton uninstall then reinstall it?

Try this, it may work. Go into control panel, open add/remove programs. click on microsoft internet explorer 5.5 and internet tools,or whatever version you're using, and select repair internet explorer. If that doesn't work you may have to download internet explorer 5.5 from microsoft's website.

ive done that and the error message has now gone but IE still wont start when i click it.
also i uninstalled OE in the add/remove bit and all was well with it untill i upgraded to version 5 then the same error messages were coming up again.

I don't know what else to suggest except a re-format, but that seems a little drastic. Maybe check out windows update if you haven't already, see if anything there helps. Anyone else got any ideas?
