A small problemette :)
Picture this scenario. Little ole me goes out to buy some nice shiney comp bits. On assembly everything appears fine. Howevveeerr... PCI cards don't work. I've tried a network card and an SB16, both of which are deteced by windows, drivers install fine, but then refuse to work. In device manager, the devices are described as 'Disabled in the hardware (code 29)'.
Now, it gets interesting. After a few reinstallations, reformats, etc, I decide that maybe the AGP slot is fiddling something up. SO I rip out me nice shiney Geforce and replace it with a V3 2000 pci. Which works. However, no other pci cards will. At this point I'm running about going 'argh' a lot.
Both of the non-functional cards work in me other comp, so its not them thats the prob I believe. Help meee :P
System specs:
Asus CUV4X mobo
Celeron II 600
Geforce 1 32mb (agp) OR V3 3000 (pci)
128mb 100MHz SDRAM
I think thats all the info thats needed, all help gratefully recieved :)
