View Full Version : Is Raven apart of the WWF?

I saw him at Unforgiven and on Raw last night, but I don't know if he's on the WWF roster. I would be interested 2 hear from WCW fans about this and see whether he's been seen there lately. I personally think the guy is a mardy tosser but there you go.

Recently (last couple of years) Raven was an ECW main eventer who chased the big bucks in Atlanta & got signed on a huge contract for WCW, he didn't like his storylines (a bizarre one was that he was "too depressed" to wrestle - what kind of a story is THAT FFS) so left WCW to go back to ECW for a fraction of what he was making in WCW.

Now he has joined WWF and all of Jim Ross's talk of him not being on the roster is a lie, same as when the Radicalz (Benoit, Malenko, Saturn, Guererro) moved from WCW to WWF and were supposedly fighting to gain contracts when they had already signed in no-doubt lucrative deals...

He wrestled in a tag team with Tazz against the King and Y2J.

Raven is part of the WWF and has been backstage at a few of the events before Unforgiven and is rumored to start another 'Flock' like in WCW.
So far this is who I think will be a part of the 'Flock':
[list]
Leader: Raven
Tazz
Kane
Perhaps The Dudleyz or some other tag team that should turn heel soon

Dudleys can't, they've only just turned babyface (good guy).
Edge & Christian maybe? I don't know about Kane. Saturn and Malenko seem 2 stick in my head 4 some reason so does X pac 4 that, maybe 'cos they're going nowhere at the moment. But as you said it would be really interesting if Kane joined. A new DX maybe??

ravens crap, he looks like a tramp, they should redo his character, keep the music and name, but make him look like undertaker used to, and stop him going on about living in a carboard box. I mean lets be honest, who really gives a ****. And does he do anything? i've not seen him do anything but ddt's, although i have to admit i like how he spins when he punches ppl

Acid m8 how about the revolutionary "drop toehold onto chair" move - that rules! First time I saw that I was really impressed :)

I await with much anticipation for this 'drop toehold onto chair' move. Otherwise, he just seems to do DDT's and spinny punch's. Gee I'm dizzy :rolling:

I don't know about Saturn joining a new flock, as it was he who broke up the original flock in WCW (Saturn and Billy Kidman fought Raven for leadership, Saturn won, but they split). Getting on to the point of Raven being crap, he isn't that bad, as Divebomb points out, his WCW storyline was bobbins, but his finisher The Evenflow ( a reversed neckbreaker) was pretty good, and anyone who has played WCW vs NWO Revenge on N64 will tell you he is one of the best wrestlers on it.

I agree with most of what you've said but:

The Evenflow is a simple DDT move that Raven has adopted as his finisher...

Oh and those N64 games ROCK serious bells :jigga: And you could make Raven slump in the corner if he was near to a turnbuckle - ace stuff :)

Sorry guv', I did not realise I was in the presence of a master. Cheers for the support, I don't know why all the mags bigged up Warzone and Attitude, as they were un playable without the use of 50 fingers. You have to use a 20 button combo to do a punch (slight exageration), but the THQ wrestlers were infinatley more playable. The controls were instinctive and the animation was better.
It is cool being able to make Raven slump in the corner, but what is way cooler is when using playing as Macho Man Randy Savage, you can get him to say "Oh Yeah!" in that gruff voice of his. Great stuff.

Yeah making Macho do his "Oh yeah!" and Sting do his "oooH!" rocks :)

Yeah the Attitude style games really left me cold... The N64 style "press a button to do the special" is better imo

yeah, well i dont watch crappy wcw, and dont watch too much ecw, saw raven once on it, they need to give him some action. Signature moves are what wrestlings all about. Like that match on raw this week. you've got x-pac doing spin kicks, taz doing chokeholds, jericho doing lionsalts and walls of jericho, the dudleys doing the "wassup" and 3d, and raisins just running about doing nothing except the occasional ddt.
