Sounds dodgy to me...

If it's like Win98/2k right click 'My Computer' and choose 'Properties' and the CD-key you entered should be there under the 'Registered To' info. If it isn't, its either not like 98/2k, or you pirated it :O

load up regedit from the run box and go here:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion

on mine i can see these 2 codes
DigitalProductID - this is in binary so it doesnt tell me the letters
ProductID - this is my win98 code
(i installed winme over win98)

maybe your 2nd one will have the winme code
if not i think u will need something that can convert the binary code into to ascii format...

I just did a search through my registry, looking for part of my Win Me code, and it ain't there.
So that says to me that :
- its theres, but its encrypted.
- it aint there.
- ur a warez :monkee: :E

It's pretty obvious spandex stan your after a dodgy serial number as it's pretty unlikely you've lost your cd key already for WinME so say ta ta to thread :E
