ok i see jj had some luck,im just chancing my luck in case sum1 has had a similar problem to me.(i know a few of you play this game)
ive got a dell p3500 with voodoo3 3000
i cant play rainbow 6 on it cos whenever i get to the debrief screens and mission planning screens the computer locks up and needs a hard reboot,
the action phases are no problem as are the training areas its just the static screens and theres no rhyme or reason to when it will sieze up - fairly random.
i tried red star - ffs use software mode - even with a p3 it was like playing netropolis
i tried voodoo and gave up after seeing ppl get diff answers although 1 said it was a dell problem - sumthing to do with an onboard graphic thingy that needs disabling,i never got round to asking dell and the game is just gathering dust now. Strange that this is the only game giving me problems :(
