the opposite in fact, why the h3ll does the game occasionaly insist on spawning you at least 1/2 the map away from the nearest plane ?

also, and im sure it happens with all plane types, why does it always seem to happen when your in a yak or hrricane and are only on line for a short period of time and cant realy spare the time to cruise on a sight seeing tour of the flattest, most boring landscape since someone discovered flatsville, flatland.

At a guess....
This happens now and then because..(I think..someone correct me if wrong) there were some planes in the area, but have, for example collided, just after the program decides where to put you. I believe the program sets your position, whilst the final loader bar is on screen, so by the time you actually get into the arena, the colliding planes have gone.

This is just a guess, and may be utter ballcocks ;)

Tinvek; well observed..... especially the Hurri. That plane is so s l o w:z. I tend to exit and re-enter..... BUT ..... not in the same type of plane. What I've found is that if you exit in a Hurri, then go back in a Hurri (DOH), you respawn nearly exactly where you exited (sorry Happy but that puts the mokers on your theory). I Agree with you TV in that the plane that I mostly find it happens to me with, is the Hurri, follwed by the LA. What really gets up my nose is that after you've spent the last half hour getting to the fur fight, the server spawns someone on your 6, you get wasted, and respawned right back on the other side of the map where again:furious:!!!! It's enough to drive a bloke to drink:rolling:
