Can I suggest you do a monkees install routine.
I installed WP3 lastnight (around midnight). Install went fine, found my pseudo modem (isdn) no problems so far, WP found the games on me PC again looking good!!!
The problem starts when I want to view the server list.
I have the WP3 icon in me system tray and a WP3 icon on me desktop. I click on the system tray nothing happens, if i click on the desktop icon i get an error message from the desktop icon.
Im running WinMe 256Mb, V3, Asus Isdn.
Why do I need to setup a nickname ? I have been using the wvpowerplay.exe for ages now so I have not used my "nickename" for months. Do i have to setup a nickname in order to use WP3 ?
There are no instructions for this in the install, which I find amazing! Yes you have a list of the games supported but FFS a Readme.txt file normally contains setup information and instructions, perhaps if you included this or posted simple setup instructions WP3 users would not have as many problems with it.
I know of quite a few people who have tried installing it and had no luck so I thought I would give it a go to see what the problem is, tbh its the lack of installation information and lack of how to use information.
Apologies if this sounds flamey, its just the way I am ;)
PS. How long before wp2.3 gets cut off ?
