HI all please dont read if you aint done the Nalia castle quest ;)

Right i have all three flail heads , Im told that u just step up to the forge and they merge ? I will try this later.

I know own the keep :) Im a fighter/mage so hopefully get the chance for a mages place.

Im must say bloody hell this is a dam site harder than baldurs gate one, battles that used to take 5 minutes are taking 20 mins :)

Im in no rush to complete it , However the amount of quests alone is truly immence. i have only visted the docks and the slums and the shooping area and have 4 quests already and completed 3 quests :)

Truly a difficult game :) I just love the trap setting ability and some of the magic clobber i have is very pleasing ;)

Any good scroll shops ? im looking for level four spells .

I agree with you that this game is incredibly hard in places, even for experienced players. They've mostly taken care to keep the worst battles in the optional areas, hough. I'm determined to get through it without turning the difficulty down :)

Once you have the flail heads, step up to the magic forge and click on it (cursor turns into a "use" icon). It will then do the work of its own accord.

There's a good scroll seller in the Adventurer's Mart in Waukeen's Promenade. She's right at the back of the store between bookcases.

Finally, if you're a multiclass character you can only get one stronghold. I'm not sure how it decides which you get - maybe just whichever one you choose - but you can't get both.

Actually, I've found BG2 slightly easier than the first thus far. Perhaps it's just me. Watch out for those Mind Flayers, though :)

I think it is just you... either you've gotten more experienced at playing this sort of game, or you've got the difficulty turned down.

Or, I suppose, you might have played a mage in BG1 and a half-orc barbarian in BG2 :)

You're probably right (well, except about the barbarian thing :) ). Actually, I think the difference for me is that in BG1 I liked to get through most battles without losing any of my party members, because resurrecting them meant trudging all the way back to a temple - a real pain if you were in the third level of a dungeon, for instance. Thankfully, raising the dead is now much easier. Good news for necromancers everywhere.

Can you get rid of a castle once you own it?

i fancied a mages castle :)
