A question about importing characters from BG1

The guy i have from BG1 is about lvl4-5.. the question is.. when i start BG2, will he still be lvl 4-5? And another question..... Now that you can specialize in particular weapons.. if i imported an old character.. would i have the chance to change the skills? oh and i have to say... Imoen and Jaheira look strange now.. I AM SO HAPPY THE POSTMAN FINALLY DELIVERED MY BG2!!!! PLZ HELP!

Your experience total will be boosted to 89,000 when you start BG2, so you'll be fine there. And also, you can reassign your weapon proficiencies - they had to add this because they now have proficiencies for individual weapons, rather than weapon classes.

And remember, Jaheira looks that way because she's an elf, and that's what elves look like. Or was she a half-elf? Er...
