I've had ADSL on order since April, and have recently been given an installation date, 2 infact! 1 when I rang up to find out what was happening and another earlier one when they rang me to say I passed the line test :)
Anyway the question is this, I have recently upgraded to Win ME, and having just looked the through the FAQ in the Welcome Pack it says that ME is not supported :{
So is anybody using Openworld with ME?
Or will BT take one look and say "Bah your not having it now Muhahahaha" and stroll off?

Yes it works :-) as a side note.. so does Linux. So all you nix monkeys will be happy.

I'm using ADSL on Windows ME and everything seems to work fine. The only exception being that I occasionally blue screen when I shut/restart my machine. But I'm confident that this will be solved by rebuilding my machine (which I can't be bothered to do at the moment). At the end of the day, you just need to remember that Windows ME is effectively a patch for Windows 98, albeit a rather large one.

BT won't even look at your machine, let alone worry about what OS you have installed. Of course, if the drivers aren't supplied for any particular OS then that's down to you. Just as a note, anyone with Win2000 shoudl note that drivers for that are not supplied on the v1.0 CD that was supplied with the modem.

Toadster,
Where did you get Linux drivers from? The only ones I can find any info on are still being written, and not by Alcatel. A URL would be appreciated.
