hi guys
if any of you have an abit kt7 board and are hoping to have adsl installed, well good luck to you because my motherboard seems to enjoy turning the modem off after connecting

maybe someone might know the problem but the modem works with my other 2 boards but i cant run my athlon on them :(
my system specs are
athlon 800
192mb
tnt2
10mb netcard
soundblaster 128
and the modem is on its own irq

cheers

How do you no its the motherboard at fault?
Could be the modem at fault?
Or BT could of buggered up the install, which wouldn't surprise me.

Hi there,

I don't have the same mobo, or ADSL to try it out on. It's obviously not the modem as you stated it works on your other 2 machines / motherboards.

Are the operating systems the same? drivers the same etc: have you checked the network settings etc to see if they match?

Finally have you updated your motherboards BIOS? Abit have released an update version from their original shipped version.

Check it out here:

http://www.abit.nl/english/download/bios%20update/bios-kt7.htm

It doesn't mention anything about USB, but it does fix some other issues.

Aside from the above suggestions I can't think of anything else.

Good Luck

DahFish.
