Did you bother clearing out the entirety of that Beholder Cavern in the Underdark? I just did, and nothing to show but a boatload of xp :(

Beholders? u pansy... I went for the mind flayers like a real man :P
I've found that with a cloak of reflection (or whatever its called..the one that reflects offensive spells) beholders are incredibly easy to defeat... they always cast petrification on you and it gets reflected back and they turn themselves to stone... :laugh:
Hmm, I never found that cloak... unless it was the one on a table in the labyrinth in Spellhold... I forgot to take that one, and was wondering ever after if I'd missed something cool :{
Oh and by the way, I did both (one after the other, without resting in between) and found the beholders MUCH harder than the Mind Flayers. Had to summon a pit fiend at one point, which is a pretty dangerous course of action if a beholder dispels your protection from evil :)

illithids and beholder caves both hold pieces of the equalizer, thats a big enough reason to do them. The cloak of reflection is in the sahuagin city which is missed out if you take the portal from spellhold and not the boat.

yeah i did the groovy city thing - which incidentally has the best Beholder in it EVER!!!!! U have to do that bit just to talk to that Beholder!!!!! T:Pp
I was thinking baout doing the beholder cavern..but had all my weapons and stuff sorted by then and wanted to ge ton and complete it (I'd already restarted it halfway through simply because I wanted to do it a different way!!!).. oh well Ill get it this time... Ive just gotten to Nalias stupid castle...ho hum...
I did that city too (had to turn off static animations to get it to run at a reasonable frame rate), but I helped Prince Villynaty and didn't get the cloak. The spectator (a form of beholder-kin) is very cool, I managed to talk him into leaving me alone while I looted the chest :)

I cleared the beholders and the mind flayers b4 going to the drow city not knowing it would be a quest there to only clear the 1, the queen was impressed though when i allready had both cleared :)

Today I began my replaying of BG2... got nalia, Aerie and Jaheira in my group...took Nalia's castle.. Stopped adventuring, left Imoen to rot in spellhold, and lived happily in my harem. :naughty:

actually, come to mention it, im finally completing bg1 + TOTSC :E got to chapter 7 - finished candlekeep catacombs finally today :)... (now that was damn hard!!!)

I was having a fiddle with Shadowkeeper today, looking through for anything id missed, and i found the "MDK2 spell" - any ideas as to what that does??? (i know black isle coded MDK2 so thats the link...). What this has to do with radishes I have no idea, although i bet noober grows them in his nice field. Which he is now, incidentally, fertilizing.

True, if the kind of attention you're looking for is being flamed and having your posts moderated. Most people read every post on a thread anyway, and the ones that stick to proper capitalisation are much easier to read.
just put it in italics or bold with the [ b] and [ i] tags (no space in between them there)

Making a game : Volume 1
hint:
when making a game, place thousands of boxes around your levels.. therefore, bthis will not only make your levels seem more realistic, but if you place an item in a box at the start of the game, (that is necessary to continue in the plot), the player will automatically destroy every box they come across, no matter how pointless or difficult to get to. Thus making your game much longer.
hint 2:
The game must contain at least one weapon (for cosmetic purposes) with which it is possible to annihialate yourself with in the most absurd fashion whilst trying to destroy several hundred boxes.
Hint 3:
The player should never be attacked by more than one enemy. Spare enemies should line up (preferably rocking from one foot to the other in a duck-like fashion) while waiting for their mate to be killed, before they decide to have a pop at you.
Multiplayer mode (if included) should consist of a level filled with boxes where the only weapon available is a super-duper-turbo-meca-annihialator. The level should be tiny, and all boxes should be filled with nitroglycerine, thus giving the average score of -7 2/9 :P :cheese:
