Playing Quake 3 online trouble :(

I cannot get Quake 3 working online at all! I click the multiplayer button, in game, then i click on where it says Local, and it goes into a white screen, where i can can press ALT-TAB to see that behind this screen is the dial up connection. (Q3 minimizes) I then press connect.....it conects, and fails to re-maximize Q3?

Also if i try to use pingtool, it can find the servers fot Q3, but when i double click to enter a game, it opens Q3 in a window, and says....."error, could not initialize OpenGL subsystems"...
HELP me play Quake 3 online!

(I have all the correct specs, eg 700 duron, S3 Savage 4 grahics, and 96 mb ram)

Download Wireplay 3 (http://ftp.gameplay.com/cgi-bin/ftp/track.cgi?wireplay/WP3Setup_r1.exe)

And play that way , instead of using in game or other tools for a simple way .

That's why you're having trouble: 1.25

Not one server op in the world is running all their servers with 1.25 yet, because basically it screws up Q3 to auld bejaysus as it is a beta patch (well it is now, now that Id have found out no-one likes the changes it introduced - myself included).

Go into your BaseQ3 folder, delete the pak4.pk3 file

Hit the monkee

And install that file. That should be you sorted.

BTW go into IE5

Tools-->Internet Options-->Connections

Now below where it lists your DUN conns, there will be a trio of radio-boxes. Ensure that the "dot" is in the circle beside "Never dial a connection" as it is that being set otherwise that is causing this window to pop up in the background.

Oh and the Savage is pants BTW
