When will Freeserve freetime users be able to log on to Air Attack?
I finally signed up expecting to be able to play AA for free, but what happens...my luck kicks in and I'm unable to play.
I can see others in the arenas, but the usual local layer timed out error occurs and occasional Illegal Ops caused by WPLAUNCH.

Do you know if it's possible to transfer your Freeserve surftime signup to another ISP?
It looks like installing BTinternet will be the only way to play the game for now!

Not possible m8. I've already asked Freeserve about that.
The only thing to do is use another ISP that has something similar to the OFF Peak freeserve deal which uses BT's Surftime package.

BUT Will another ISP with monthly subscription for unmetered off peak net access be able to access the WP3 arenas?

Ive just been reading through BT's site about surftime, and it says you CAN use your surftime package over multiple ISP's, or transfer it altogether if you want. I'm gonna give BT a ring and see what the score is. If I can just use BTI until Freeserve problem is sorted, that'll suit me!

Im on the freeserve unlimited thingie and have had no problems with aa. Get a good ping in ut too. Does it use a different number to the one your using?

Hi,

We are aware of a *general* problem with analogue users on Freeserve and Wireplay 3.

The issues are being looked at and I think Freeserve are going to be/have been approached about this.

I'll find out more on Monday.

I know of somebody else who uses the Freeserve time package without problems. I don't know if he uses a analogue connection though. Maybe thats the difference???

??? I use the Unlimited freeserve time connection, have played Air Attack several times with no problems... On FFA and Rookie/Newbie servers.. Maybe there's a problem specifically with Off peak programme? Are you using wp3?

Yes m8, as in the topic heading, it's a problem for me (and others) when using Air Attack on WP3.
Did that techie guy find anything else out yet?
I spoke to the guy I mentioned using AA on Wp3 with freeserve time, and he's got a bog standard setup, but doesn't encounter any problems logging into a game. So how do you explain that???
