BT is to trial the conversion process used for Home and Business Highway and ISDN 2 lines which need to run DSL services. The trial is set to take place from 18th September 2000 and run for 3 weeks.
The trial will involve the conversion of the ISDN or Highway line to a DSL suitable standard exchange line - this is not a trial of DSL over ISDN. The details indicate that - unlike the trials for ADSL that first took place - BT will be writing to the owner of the line to ensure that the implications of the changeover are understood.
