BG1 - Damned Gnoll Stronghold and Good Mage Question

Lo guys,

I got BG on Wednesday and having been playing around and stuff - I'm sort of hooked :)

Do you have a set time when you guys play it online on Wireplay, as I reckon it'd be cool to play it with other people :)

Anyway my party's a little crap at the moment, and I was wondering if there's a good-aligned mage anywhere that I could enlist?

Also, how the hell can I get into the Gnoll Stronghold? I've explored the map a lot, and can find no way in - I'm trying to rescue the 'witch' that Minsc talked about.

There's a good-aligned mage, Dynaheir, in the Gnoll Stronghold, as it happens - Minsc's witch :) There's also Xan, a neutral mage on the last level of the Nashkel mines, but he's not as good.

As for getting to the stronghold, you have to reach it via the sector north of it, which in turn you need to get to by passing through other nearby sectors and leaving off the appropriate map edge. Try going west from Nashkel as far as you can, then south.

As for playing online, I'm afraid the Wireplay service is not very good for BG1, and also very few people still play it (most of us are still on single player BG2 :E). I know Fallen Angel tries to organize games though; he'll probably post here soon to let you know when and where to join him :)
