View Full Version : Best wrestling video game?
I think WWF No Mercy, when it comes out. But 4 now it would have 2 be Wrestlemania.

I must admit at the time WCW/nWo Revenge was the absolute best :)
I'm really looking forward to Smackdown 2 now though!
Ladders!!!! TABLES!!!
hehehe :)
I think the graphics on both the 'Smackdowns' look a bit blocky. But I guess everythings not about graphics, the gameplay is important aswell. :)
WWF Raw on the SNES was way ahead of it's time.
WCW/nWo Revenge is probably the best. I have high hopes for Smackdown 2 though.

I downloaded most the old Mega Drive and Snes WWF games the other week, but I'd say WWF Royal rumble on DC plays the best atm, although it needs more wrestlers.
All these Game Boy wrestling video games have 2 be some of the biggest piles of crap ever. I have WWF Raw (which must be around 6 years old now) and you can't go anywhere on the screen, plus the only moves are puch and kick. And the new 1's coming out now aren't any better either. They may have new modes etc. but the gameing quality is the same! The developers definately need 2 take more time on them.
for other consoles i liked wrestlemainia 2000 for the gameboy (by far the best on gb!) and wwf in your house on the playstation

I just boot up my arcade emulator "Raine" and play the old classic Wrestlefest (Andre the Giant and Ted DeBiase as Tag champs). Or Wrestlemania Arcade, which rules and has a great Royal Rumble, 6 guys battling it out (further 6 waiting to replace DQ'd wrestlers), and game over if you are thrown out of the ring or pinned.
Otherwise, WWF Warzone on the PSX is my fave. Hope Smackdown 2 is gonna live up to the hype.
I got Wrestlefest on Raine too. It's great fun. What makes it good is it's simple to play and has all the good oldies i.e Mr Perfect, Warrior, Hogan, Demolition, Earthquake and so on.
Always play it in the arcades, have done for years. :)
