Is it just me or has the service at peak times for the last 3 weeks been ****,ive had my cable for 2 months now and the first month it was good one week then crap the next but i lived in hope for the better performance the nexk week.

Ive tried ringing ntl modem support but all i get of the 6 times or so ive rang them is "we are aware of the problem and it will be sorted" my ass,and now i hear there are giving 512kps modems to a certain area for 25 pound a month,so we all know that the service will take another nose dive soon.

Does any one who reads these forums work for ntl and know if there are going to solve the problem or will we have to put up with a poor service at peak times, btw i live in cardiff and have seen a few ppl from this area complain, what about other areas of the uk do you suffer from the slowdown at peak times.

Right iam off to play q3 with my 200 ping :)

Try doing a traceroute to the server(s) you are connecting too at the times you are having problems. Then look at where the problem is - its easier to get a fix then from NTL... It is possible that the probelms are occuring away from NTL's side of things....

I haven't played much in the way of games over the past week, but I haven't had any noticeable problems with web and downloading in the past few weeks. (Notts network)...

Guildford/Woking area is still patchy, although (fingers crossed) it seems to be improving.

For me it was okay during last week, dodgy friday, complete arse sat/sun, dunno about monday, and okay again last night.

Just got to bear with it I'm afraid :(

I've had CM for 6 months now, and for 5 of those months the service has been questionable, so think yourself lucky :E
