Party members?

Just wondered what kinda class mix everyone has in their party?

Was interesting to see what everyone played when we started playing on a LAN.

We had:

Human Female Paladin/Undead Hunter: Specialised 2-handed sword and 2-handed fighting style.
Half-Orc Male Fighter/Beserker: Master Long Sword and 2 weapon fighting style.
Halfling Male Thief/Swashbuckler: Short Sword and 2 weapon fighting style.
Human Male Mage (non-specialist).
Elven Female Priest of Talos.

As the 5 PCs - didn't bother with an NPC, told Imoen to get lost after about 2 minutes as her voice grated ;)

That's a rather good, well-balanced party - did you discuss beforehand who would play what?

As a sixth character I'd recommend a Kensai or Kensai/Mage... I'm playing a pure Kensai so I can have 5 stars in Long Swords, 3 stars in Dual Wield and really kick ass :) I'd love to join you but my computer can barely cope with single-player, let alone multi.

I fancied playing a Paladin having heard about the Holy Avenger, everyone else had a quick chat about what they fancied playing and divvied up the classes.

When I play it solo, I'm still going to use multiplayer and roll my entire party - probably have a Bard (Skald) in there somewhere for lore and possibly a Sorcerer instead of a Mage.

You'll miss out on all the cool character interaction though... Jan Jansen's inventions and anecdotes make him a must have. And you know you want to shag Viconia :stare:

I somehow made it all way through the game without a romance, Jaheira tried it on early in the game but I blew her out waiting for Viconia to have a try and it never happened. Altho I did get laid in the Drow city so its not all bad..

Sadly, if you're an elf then Viconia will never make the move on you. It's all to do with the Drow hating surface elves, see?

Of course, this explains nothing if you're not an elf :)

I had Jaheria and Viconia fighting over me and i ended up have to let the 1 down gently though the other started sulking and would not walk with my group they hung back about 4 meters behind my group and would not go near me so i had to boot 1 out :( shame really i was hoping for a threesome :E

There is one way in which you can avoid a showdown between two conflicting love interests for as long as possible. That is, simply to ensure that whenever you rest there's a closed door between the two of them. That way, for some reason, they don't begin dialog after you've rested. Maybe it's a case of 'out of sight, out of mind' :)
