Hi!

I'm on HG1 and im not sure whether thats a good thing or not as yet.

settings are a stright DUN with any old drivel as the phone number, select tcp/ip and log on to network as the only options. No TCP/IP settings are needed.

username is the one you where given from them which is basically <name>@hg1.btinternet.co.uk and password again is what you where given over the phone. If you can't remember or dn't know it ring 0845 600 7030. However the installer should have at least given you that number to sort things there and then whilst he was there, I know mine did as I'd forgotten the settings they gave me on the phone and I hadn't had my welcome pack and confirmation letter sent in time.

That's great cheers man, they told me on the phone that HG1 peeps are having problems getting webpages at the mo.

Can you check this for me

Control Panel/Network/TCPIP Dial Up/properties/DNS configuration

One bloke from BT told me to have it set to Enable with a DNS server name in there, another just now told me to have is disabled, can you help.

I have mine disabled, no ones told me either way. This is just how the engineer told me to configure it when we tested it out withiut the pants software from BT Openworld
