DVD probs??? HELP!!!

hi,
am avin probs with my new memorex trimaxx 200
CDR/DVD rom
CDR bit workin fine
DVD wont work at all????
i ave used power dvd and a few other programs
do these programs include MPEG 2 decoders?

if they do i aint got a clue what is wrong??

it juss dosent seem to be reading the dvd,s i am putting into the drive
but reads normal cds fine?

any help greatly appreciated

yeah i've got a DVD and it won't read the bluddy things as well.
it's someting to do with windows, and when you installed it(windows 98), zones and all that.
if you reinstall windows and make sure you put in your zone, then it should work.

well that's my prob anyway, i'll do it when i up grade.

If it's just a region thing then there a few region hacking programmes about, I'll have a hunt around today.

If it is just a region lock thing, these links should get you going again, also read what your doing as some of these progs update the firmware on the player.
