Hi all
I seen this in a shop for 120 quid and i wondered what was wrong with it LOL

I have a voodoo 3 at the moment
will this make a big difference to my games?

I've just bought one of those beauties myself. I used to have a Guillemot TNT2 Ultra card, which on the surface would seem to be pretty similar, but I get a definite speed increase from the Geforce 2.

I would imagine that it would be a decent step up from the Voodoo 3 - more RAM, more features and a better colour depth.

As for framerate, that depends to some extent on the system you have. I've got a Celeron 400 with 128mb RAM and it runs pretty well, but it's obvious that to get the most out of the card you'd need a PIII.

Don't let that stop you from buying it though. For the price, it's amazing value :)

If you mean the Hercules 3D Prophet II MX... I've just ordered one (£124 from GP)

Anything has got to be better than my (t)rusty STB Velocity 4400 TNT 16Mb card (2 years old now).

The naming convention on these cards is getting way out of hand, just plain barking. It's hard enough keeping track of the new chipset names without the added problem of all the names of the actual cards themselves.
