Geforce 2 Driver Probs

I'm currently running ver. 5.30.

Whenever I try to upgrade to a higher version my 3D Mark score drops by around 1200.
But as soon as I re-install the 5.30's my score jumps back up to around 5900.

Any ideas as to why this is?

All other settings have stayed the same.

Machine spec: Asus K7V, Athlon 750, Geforce 2 GTS 64mb, 128mb RAM.

I am not totally sure about this but I think I heard something like this.

The 5.20 det 2s I believe did not have dynamic lighting when running 3d mark. Now when you install later drivers dynamic lighting is introduced and hence the lower score.

Check this but running 3d mark with the 5.20 and see if the hellicopter rockets light up the ground in any of the hellicopter demos (It dosnt in the first one but does in sec and third I think).

Remember I am not sure if I am right so dont flame me if im talking crap :)
