How do i get my holy avenger?

The Holy Avenger is a +5 sword with 50% magic resistance and +5 extra damage to Chaotic Evil characters plus a few otehr bits. It can only be used by Paladins and is arguably the most powerful weapon in the game.

This is what Paladins get instead of a Keep.

Remember the HA is a two handed sword, so if you aren’t proficient at two handed weapons (like me :( ) then employ the NPC Keldron, the other Paladin, as he is two stars two handed sword and quite good actually.

You need to kill Firkragg the red Dragon in Windspear, but make sure you get given the quest by the Radiant Heart (temple district) before you try and kill him or you’ll miss the XP.

small problem... I.... have talked to in the Radiant heart.. they dont tell me to kill him.. what i have done is... I talked to Lord Firkragg in the copper coronet and he says kill the monsters in the land. I go and kill them.... then that guy comes along and says i have been tricked. He then tells me the guys at the radiant heart are fine now.. Do i just kill him in the dungeon? I am very confused. It would be very kind of u to post what i am supposed to do. thanks!

Hmm.

U get sent to Windspear and immediately get attacked by some naughties. When u kill them u realise you’ve been tricked and no one likes you. You go with the bloke to his cabin and he asks you to rescue his son form the dungeon (top of Windspear). There’s lots of nice goodies in this dungeon (in fact it’s a hard one) and you will have the chance to talk to Firkragg. Don’t attack him just leave it – leeevvvee iittt <sorry about that>.

Rescue cabin blokes son and go back to cabin. Now he’ll tell you that everyone likes you and how you must visit the Radiant Heart cos you’re cool and all that.

Visit them and they’ll send you on a couple of mini quests and if you succeed these, they’ll send you on the big one to blat big up dumps Firkragg and retrieve the Holiest of Holy Avenger!
